Together we pursue performance excellence as well as personal growth. Our work together emphasizes the importance of mental factors in personal growth and development. We learn AND practice how to implement mental performance skills designed to enhance performance. This means getting in good consistent reps toward improving mental skills such as confidence, composure, motivation, and proper goal setting, to name a few. The skills we learn and implement together will not only benefit your mental and physical performance in sport, but more importantly your overall success in life outside of sport .

Part of developing an athlete’s mental game is understanding and managing stress in sport. Part of our work together is to learn coping skills and strategies for managing stress. This helps us to achieve the optimal mental state needed to not only perform well but to also thrive in life. As athletes, we face tremendous demands. Part of this work is realizing how stress manifests itself with each of us. One key factor to finding success with these skills and strategies is to be able to recognize patterns we have that do not serve us well and then to replace them with better strategies for coping with the stress of our environment. My job is to help athletes assess each stressful situation and to confidently know they have the skills to face the situation…to be able to look fear head on and know they have the resources they need to succeed…
